One of the earliest Committees among Friends is the Relief Committee. Originally created to provide relief to the family of Quakers who were imprisoned for their beliefs, the Committee continues to serve Friends who are in financial need. Relief Committees have also been expanded to provide aid during and after wars; the AFSC, American Friends Service Committee began in this manner.
Our meeting has a humble Relief Committee to help Members in difficult financial situations and for a limited time. The information is never made available outside of the Committee.
Any individual who requires financial assistance should contact a member of the Ministry and Counsel.
